Knowledge
Howard's career in real estate began in March of 1974. One of the most turbulant years the real estate industry has ever seen. Since that time he has earned several important professional designations. They include his C.R.S. (Certified Residential Specialists) from the Council of Residential Specialists and his G.R.I. designation (Graduate, REALTORS Institute) from the REALTORS Institute. He has also completed all of the academic requirements to become an appraiser. However, he chooses to put that knowledge to work for you!
Respect of his peers
Service to his profession comes second nature to him. In 1981 he was elected to the board of directors of the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS. Other service followed including being elected President of the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS in 1991 (with over 1,000 members) and then serving the Florida Association of REALTORS as District Vice President in 1993 (representing 17 North Florida counties in the "Big Bend" area). From 1992 through 1994 he served as a trustee for the Florida Association of REALTORS Education Foundation. In 2001 he was appointed to the Florida Association of REALTORS nominating committee. He was one of 24 committee members chosen from the 160,000 member association to serve on this committee. Their sole task was to elect the 2002 officers and directors of this organization. Currently Howard is serving as an appointed member of the Faculty Development Subcommittee, Political Affairs Committee and the Professional Development Committee for the Florida Association of REALTORS.

Contacts the others just don't have
As a licensed real estate instructor he conducts the state required pre and post licensing courses for salespersons and brokers several evenings a week. He is also an instructor for the REALTORS Institute where he is responsible for two of the state required courses leading to the coveted G.R.I. designation. In addition, he is a member of the Florida Associations Speakers Bureau and also conducts liability and risk reduction seminars for other REALTORS all across the state. Howard has also qualified to facilitate an eight hour risk reduction seminar for the National Association of REALTORS all across the country. In other words, he helps train his own competition.
